As a part of the Technical Marketing Group, you will be
responsible for the outbound marketing activities for your products, technical support, and sales training. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the development of marketing strategies and tools for your products. You’ll work with your team to understand and develop innovative marketing programs that drive demand. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits is crucial. In your role within the Technical Marketing Group, you will be the expert in customers, how they buy and why they buy, and will transfer that knowledge to the sales channel.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates your products in the market
- Sales enablement - communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products
- Product launch - Support division management to develop and implement optimal divisional strategies including new product release and potential new product development through sound analysis of both internal sales trend and external market conditions
- Market intelligence - Research and analyze trends of both existing and emerging customer industries, successful product applications, and competitive information in order to maximize the exposure of the company"s products to the market
- Demand generation - develop the strategy and manage the marketing that drives the demand for your products
- Sales training - Plan, design, develop, and deliver trainings on existing and new products, applications, and competitive information for salespeople including both new hires and the existing sales force
- Support - Provide product and application support for customers and salespeople
Qualifications:
- High degree of attention to detail
- Very strong written
communication skills
- Strong public speaking skill
- Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties.
- Ability to organize and prioritize diverse set of projects, tasks, and activities for timely completion
- Analytical skill to identify the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts
- Ability to continuously come up with creative market development ideas
- Willing to travel (-15-25%)
- Knowledge of Microsoft-based applications, particularly Excel and Word
- Integrity - job requires appropriate handling of confidential, sensitive information
Typical Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing and/or 1+ year of experience in technical marketing
BA/BS in business or marketing
