Facilities Support Assistant - Austin TX area
In our Round Rock TX call center the Facilities Support Assistant is responsible for providing a variety of general facilities support, including minor facility repairs and maintenance, shipping and receiving functions, and inventory management of office supplies.
Main duties of this HOURLY POSITION are minor routine tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, light bulb replacement, room set-ups, and shipping and receiving.
This position also assists in the coordination of the center safety program.
Performs and handles routine building maintenance tasks, such as painting, furniture repairs, replacing light bulbs and ceiling tiles, minor plumbing repairs, minor furniture repairs, and minor door repairs (35%) Conducts daily shipping, receiving, and distribution activities utilizing shipping software and adhering to shipping deadlines (20%) Assists in the movement and assembly of furniture, materials, and equipment as required (10%) Performs minor janitorial tasks such as removal of trash after events, both inside and outside; clean-up after plumbing incidents; and cleans and polices outside and inside areas to supplement janitorial services (5%) Performs checks on printers/copiers and stocks printer/copier locations (i.e., clears paper jams, contacts printer/copier vendor service if unable to resolve the issue (5%) Assists with coordination of outside contractors, and helps monitor to ensure services and repairs meet specifications (5%) Reviews work order system for assignments, and acknowledges, completes, and closes work tickets in the system - may need to initiate work requests and respond to work requests for buildilng and equipment repairs/maintenance (5%) Maintains a central stock of office supplies and janitorial supplies in accordance with company policies and procedures (5%) Assists in daily routine building and site visual inspection to identify safety issues, repair, maintenance, and janitorial concerns (3%) Works in a team environment and is cross-trained to provide coverage/back-up of other Property Management positions as directed (3%) Assists with assessing and addressing unanticipated facilities issues (i.e., flooding caused by break in pipe) that may arise during or outside of regular operating hours, and engages appropriate outside parties to resolve the issue with minimal disruptions to business (2%) Assists in coordination of safety programs for hourly and salaried associates (2%) Performs other duties as assigned
